Implant brands and systems
Patients often ask which brand of implant they will receive. It is a good question – less for the name itself than for what it says about support and spare parts in the future.

Examples of systems used worldwide
There are many implant manufacturers. Straumann, Nobel Biocare and Osstem are examples of brands used in many countries; there are many other established systems as well. Mentioning them here is for orientation only – it does not mean that a particular partner clinic uses a particular brand. Ask the clinic directly which systems they work with.
Why the system matters
- Components – each system has its own connection between implant and abutment. Years later, a replacement screw or abutment has to match.
- Availability in your country – if you ever need a repair at home, it helps if your local dentist can obtain parts.
- Documentation – established manufacturers publish research and technical data on their products.
What to ask
- Which implant system and which line do you plan to use for me?
- Will I receive an implant passport or the label stickers with batch numbers?
- Are parts for this system available in my home country?
- Are the abutments original parts from the same manufacturer?
A careful clinic will answer these questions without hesitation. The brand is one factor among several – the planning and the experience of the dentist are at least as important.
Common questions
Which implant brand is the best?
There is no single best brand. Several established systems are well documented. More important is that the system is well supported and that the dentist knows it well.
Should I get an implant passport?
Yes. Ask for a document or card with the implant system, size and batch numbers. Keep it with your medical records.
